INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE
Email is optional and purpose-limited.
If you request the starter plan, we store the email address you enter, whether it is pending, confirmed, or unsubscribed, the date of those choices, the version of the consent language, and the fixed page placement where the form appeared. The application database keeps only one-way hashes of confirmation and unsubscribe tokens, not the original tokens. The confirmation and unsubscribe pages remove tokens from the visible browser address after reading them. The site has no reader account, comment box, health questionnaire, advertising checkout, or onsite payment flow. Do not enter health information in the email field.
EDITORIAL CONTACT
Contact notes go to the publisher, not a marketing list.
The editorial contact form asks for a reply email, an optional name and page reference, and the message you choose to send. Do not include dental or health information. The application does not save the note in its database; Resend processes it for delivery to the private owner inbox, where it may be retained only as long as needed to investigate, answer, document, or defend an editorial correction. A contact note does not subscribe the sender to updates. You can use the same form to request deletion of an earlier note. One-way network and email hashes may be kept in short-lived rate-limit buckets to prevent abuse.
EMAIL CHOICES
One request email, then your choice.
Entering an address triggers one transactional confirmation email that includes the starter-plan link. Opening the confirmation link does not opt you in automatically; the confirmation page requires a deliberate button click. Confirming records consent for occasional evidence-based guide updates if that program is enabled later. No recurring messages are currently scheduled, and broadcasts remain disabled until the publication has the required sender identity, postal address, monitored reply channel, and documented cadence. Every email includes a way to stop future delivery, and unsubscribing does not limit access to public guides. We do not sell or rent email addresses.
RETENTION & CONTROL
Expired requests age out. Unsubscribing removes the record.
An unconfirmed request expires after 48 hours and becomes eligible for automatic deletion 30 days after that expiration. Cleanup runs during signup activity. A confirmed record stays only while the address remains subscribed. Using the unsubscribe link removes the email address, consent record, and email-flow tokens; only anonymous daily funnel totals remain. To correct an address, unsubscribe the old one and submit the correct address. Abuse-prevention rate-limit buckets become eligible for automatic deletion after seven days. Public guides remain available throughout.
TECHNICAL DELIVERY
We count page views without building reader profiles.
Like most public websites, the hosting infrastructure may process technical request information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser details, requested pages, timestamps, and security signals. The publication keeps daily aggregate page-view and paid-link view and click counts, plus the page path, featured offer, and bounded site placement involved, so we can understand which guides and link locations are useful. The placement is a fixed category such as a homepage product card or guide product section, not free-form reader information. A placement view is counted once per page view only after at least half of that paid link enters the browser viewport. To distinguish a new browser from one returning on a later day, the site creates a random first-party browser ID in local storage and saves only its one-way hash on the server. The raw ID is not stored by us. Clearing browser storage or using another browser makes that browser appear new. Authenticated owner activity is excluded at the analytics endpoints, and the private owner dashboard stores a first-party browser opt-out so later owner visits do not inflate public page, placement, or paid-link counts. We do not store health information or use these counts to create personal or dental-health profiles. Signup funnel measurements use only fixed event and placement categories. One-way network and email hashes may also be used to rate-limit abuse; they are not used for advertising profiles.
SERVICE PROVIDERS
Cloudflare delivers the site. Resend delivers requested email.
Cloudflare hosts the site, database, DNS, and security controls. Resend processes the email address and message-delivery details needed to send confirmation, requested resource emails, and editorial contact notes. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. We share only what is needed for hosting, security, measurement, and delivery.
OUTBOUND LINKS
Other sites have their own rules.
Manufacturer, dental-association, and future merchant links lead to third-party websites. Their privacy practices, cookies, accounts, purchases, returns, and support systems are governed by their own policies.
CHANGES
This page changes before collection changes.
This notice will be updated before a materially different collection or sharing practice is enabled. The private owner dashboard uses ChatGPT sign-in and is not a reader account system. Last updated July 19, 2026.
